It wasn't until a couple years ago I realized how unsafe I had lived. It wasn't until I started to unpack the trauma situations had caused me and the way I worked without protection for years that could have caused me more harm but I got lucky. Part of empowering myself was deciding to help empower others and help teach safety and situational awareness.
